The nomination period is now OPEN in the search for the next president of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW). The new president will succeed Dr. Lawrence R. Rast Jr., who will retire from the presidency at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year and return full-time to his role as CTSFW professor of historical theology. The election for the Seminary’s new president is scheduled for May 18, 2024.
Nominations for CTSFW president may be submitted by congregations of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, the CTSFW Board of Regents, and the CTSFW faculty. A Call for Nominations describing the responsibilities of the office and desired qualifications and experience is available on the Presidential Search webpage, along with a Congregational Nomination Form. Nominations must be submitted by December 31, 2023, for consideration.
