Equip Field Workers with a Trusted Resource |
Dear Friends in Christ,
Greetings from the Seminary Guild of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW)! We pray that this letter finds you well as you work to advance the mission and ministry of Christ’s church.
Here in Fort Wayne, we’re preparing to celebrate the 85th anniversary of our Seminary Guild in 2024. To mark this milestone, we’re reaching out to individuals and organizations throughout the country with an invitation to join us in a special project. The goal: to raise $8,500 for our Legacy Project, which puts a Pastoral Care Companion (PCC) in the hands of every first-year field worker at CTSFW.
The PCC, required for all first-year students, is an invaluable resource for our future church workers, providing them with a wealth of resources for spiritual care and service. Every CTSFW field worker since 2017 (maybe even someone you know) has received a PCC from the Seminary Guild.
The Pastoral Care Companion is presented to students every September, when they learn about their field work assignments. The 85th Anniversary Legacy Project will fund PCCs beginning with the 2024-25 academic year. When we present the next round of books, we’d love to let students know that individuals and groups from all over the country joined together to put this theological treasure in their hands.
It’s a simple but powerful way to let our students know that our whole Synod is committed to their formation as faithful church workers.
