Jesus
Christ is the Son of
God.
|
|
He
is
the
very
God
who
created
the
world,
the
One
who
fulfilled
the
promise
foretold
to
the
serpent.
Jesus
took
on
flesh,
died
on
a
cross,
and
rose
to
life
again;
and
those
who
believe
in
Him
will
also
rise
and
have
eternal
life.
Saul
was
a
Pharisee
who
did
not
believe
that
Jesus
was
the
Christ
who
would
reconcile
us
to
God.
Saul
had
Christians
thrown
in
prison
and
handed
them
over
to
be
put
to
death.
|
|
|
|
Upon
encountering
the risen
Lord Jesus,
Saul was
converted
and became
the apostle
Paul. He
went on
numerous
missionary
journeys,
and wherever
he went, he
taught about
Jesus
Christ—who
He is and
what He
did.

“For
I decided to know
nothing among you
except Jesus
Christ and him
crucified”
1 Cor.
2:2.
|
|
Paul
decided
to
“know
nothing”
among
the
Corinthians
except
Jesus
Christ
and
His
death
and
resurrection
for
the
forgiveness
of
all
of
their
sins.
Concordia
Theological
Seminary,
Fort
Wayne
(CTSFW)
is
beginning
its
177th
academic
year.
Many
have
decided
to
come
to
CTSFW
to
become
pastors,
deaconesses,
and
missionaries.
Your
Seminary’s
professors
will
train
them
all
to
proclaim
Christ
crucified.

Jesus
is the heart
and center
of our
teaching. He
is the
object of
our faith.
He will take
us to be
with Him in
paradise. In
heaven, we
will see His
face.
|
|
You
are in a unique
position.
|
|
You
have
heard
the
Good
News
of
Jesus’s
death
and
resurrection
for
your
sins.
You
believe
and
trust
in
Him
for
your
eternal
salvation.
You
want
others
to
have
the
peace
and
joy
that
comes
from
this
faith.
Your
prayers
and
financial
gifts
are
the
lifeblood
of
this
mission.
Will
you
join
us
in
this
vital
work—to
form
future
church
workers
who
will
bring
the
life-giving
message
of
salvation
to
the
ends
of
the
earth?
|
|
|
|
When
you keep us
in your
prayers,
give gifts,
and remember
us in your
will or
other estate
plans, you
ensure that,
by the grace
of God and
until our
Savior
returns,
CTSFW will
continue to
“know
nothing . .
. except
Jesus Christ
and him
crucified.”

“Now
I
would
remind
you,
brothers,
of
the
gospel
I
preached
to
you,
which
you
received,
in
which
you
stand,
and
by
which
you
are
being
saved,
if
you
hold
fast
to
the
word
I
preached
to
you—unless
you
believed
in
vain.
For
I
delivered
to
you
as
of
first
importance
what
I
also
received:
that
Christ
died
for
our
sins
in
accordance
with
the
Scriptures,
that
he
was
buried,
that
he
was
raised
on
the
third
day
in
accordance
with
the
Scriptures.”

Corinthians
15:1-4
