Ecce Homo by Edward Riojas

And Moses took the blood and threw it on the people and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”
Exodus 24:8

Exodus 24, especially verse 8, is coupled with the cry of the people while Christ was before Pilate. “His blood be on us and on our children” and its blood-thirst is transformed into our prayer in acknowl¬edging we cannot save ourselves, save through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. This robe is reminis¬cent of the Temple curtain, and, being parted, we see the ugliness of our sin in the Holy of Holies—and live.
