FORT WAYNE, IN (CTS)— The Good Shepherd Institute, located on the campus of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, provides scholarly, theological and practical resources of pastoral theology and sacred music for the church. The Institute is pleased to announce that the journal for the 11th and 12th annual conferences, Sing with All the Saints in Glory and What God Has Joined Together, is now available in the CTS bookstore for $20.00 per copy. Orders may be placed by phoning 260-452-2160 or e-mailing CTSBookstore@ctsfw.edu.
“The papers presented in this latest journal are intended to sharpen the collective understanding of the rich potential of pastoral theology and sacred music surrounding the rites associated with Christian funerals and weddings,” says Dr. Daniel Zager, Associate Dean of Sibley Music Library, Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, in the Foreword to this latest journal.
The theme for the 2012 conference is Shepherd of Tender Youth: Connecting Postmoderns to Christ and will take place on the seminary campus November 4-6. There will also be an Advent Preaching Workshop led by Dr. Dean O. Wenthe, CTS Professor of Exegetical Theology and President Emeritus, on Tuesday, November 6.
