Good Shepherd Institute Conference and
Preaching Workshop at CTS

FORT WAYNE, IN (CTS)—The 13th annual Good Shepherd Institute Conference takes place on the campus of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, November 4-6. The Advent Preaching workshop will be presented Tuesday, November 6. Information for both events can be found at www.ctsfw.edu/GSI.

This year’s conference, Shepherd of Tender Youth: Connecting Postmoderns to Christ, will focus on reaching out to the young people of our church with the joy and tradition of the Lutheran liturgy. Of particular interest will be "Reflections on the Future of Youth in the Church" by Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, President, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

This year the Advent Preaching workshop, Jesus Christ: The Presence of the Future, will be led by Dr. Dean O. Wenthe, CTS Professor of Exegetical Theology and President Emeritus. Attendees will reflect on the pericopes for Advent with focus on how they can be fully proclaimed and freshly taught to God's people as they prepare for a celebration of "the Word becoming flesh."
