CTS Kantorei Easter Evening Prayer Tour

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (CTS)—The Kantorei, a 16-voice choir composed of men studying for the pastoral ministry at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., will offer a service of Easter Evening Prayer at congregations in Michigan and Indiana, April 23–27. A full listing of congregations the Kantorei will visit can be found at www.ctsfw.edu/KantoreiTour. Additional information is available by emailing Music@ctsfw.edu or phoning 260-452-2224.

The choir is directed by Kantor Richard Resch who founded the Kantorei in 1978. This will be the last tour for Resch who will retire at the end of this academic year. “This year's Kantorei ranks as one of the finest choirs I have had the privilege to direct. I am delighted to be ending my touring career with these talented singers,” says Resch. Accompanying organist will be CTS Associate Kantor Kevin Hildebrand and the Rev. Dr. Arthur Just Jr., professor of Exegetical Theology at CTS, will serve as preacher.

The final service for the tour will be Sunday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. in Kramer Chapel on the seminary campus at 6600 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne. There is no charge for this event and we encourage all our friends in the Fort Wayne area to join us for this very special service.
