Dr. Bushur joined the faculty in the fall of 2006 and serves as Assistant Professor of Historical Theology and Director of Deaconess Studies.
He served as pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur, Indiana (1999-2006) and Trinity Lutheran Church, Goodland, Indiana (1994-1999).
He received his B.A. in Biblical Literature from Taylor University, Upland (1989), M.Div. (1993) and S.T.M. (Thesis: The Flesh of Christ and the Economy of Salvation in the Teaching of St. Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyons, 1998) from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He recently completed his Ph.D. at the University of Durham, UK. Dr. Bushur specializes in patristics and is a member of the North American Patristics Society.
He and his wife, Lori, have three children.
