2009-2010 Calendar
The Guild Program follows the Academic calendar. We start in September and
close in May. There is one Board Meeting in June. The program has not been
finalized yet, so, please, check again for exact times and dates.
September 15 | September Tea
Seminary Guild officers will be the
hostesses.

October 20 | Donation Day
Kantor Richard
Resch will be the speaker. He is Kantor and Associate Professor of Pastoral
Ministry and Missions at CTS. His topic will be Singing the Faith: Living the
Lutheran Musical Heritage which was a project of The Good Shepherd Institute
of Pastoral Theology and Sacred Music.

November 10 | Military Aid
Deaconess Intern Carolyn Brinkley will be the
speaker. She is the Military Project Coordinator at CTS. She will tell about the
Seminary’s work coordinated with Chaplain James Lucas. Items will be collected
and assembled into Health Kits.

December 8 | Kantorei & Christmas Reception
The Kantorei will sing in
the Chapel for the Seminary Guild and guests. A Christmas Reception will follow
in the Student Commons.

January 12 | Board meeting

February 9 | Mission Project
Deaconess Pat Nuffer will be the speaker. She
is a graduate of the Deaconess program at CTS. She will share about her Hands of
Mercy project in Sudan, Africa.

March 9 | Spring Luncheon
Dr. Carl Fickenscher will be the speaker. He is
Dean of Pastoral Education and Placement as well as Associate Professor of
Pastoral Ministry and Missions. He will speak on Law and
Gospel.

April 13 | Lutherfest Baskets & Election of Officers
Items will be
collected and assembled into baskets. The baskets will be auctioned at April
17th’s Lutherfest. Monies raised will help fund the Seminary Guild’s annual
project. Election of Officers will also take place. |
